Great price and find. UPDATED REVIEW 1 year later: Put it up with a friend and at first I was concerned I would not have enough header space - no worries. We get morning sun that used to heat the heck out of our kitchen area where we have our AM coffee. In less than 10 seconds this solves all issues and allows the area to cool off nicely with the A/C without it having to struggle. Basically you connected the left side to the right for the 3 main sections, then connected the 3 sections together. I originally put the front piece on backwards do to the unclear instructions, but I was able to rectify my error pretty easily. As far as attaching the awning to the front of my pool shed, we removed the front board and attached a 2x8 to the roof rafters, we then attached the 3 brackets that hold the awning onto the 2x8, aiming for the roof rafter studs. We bought some heavy duty screws that you would use assembling a wooden swing set instead of using the expansion bolts that came with the awning, and intended for concrete or brick. It has only been up 3 days, but it appears to be sturdy. There is a gap between the roofline and the awning, so I need to get a piece of flashing to cover the gap so that we don't get wet during rain. Speaking of rain, our 4th of July party was a washout and other than the gap, kept me and my guests dry. I had to regularly push the water that was pooling in the awning off, but it made for a nice water park bucket experience for the kids walking around the pool, lol! I hope the pictures help.. We ordered the Mcombo awning through and their process worked well, with easy ordering and quick shipment.as to the awning itself, it arrived intact, but requires full assembly. The Mcombo instruction manual leaves a lot to be desired. Specifically, the center roller has a separate instruction sheet that is not referenced in the manual. I had to go to YouTube to make sense of it. Also, the manner of mounting the front bar is not clear. Finally, the blockers have been ‘upgraded’ to plastic while the instructions show and reference a metal bolt and roller. One of the plastic blockers promptly broke off. When I tried to call the 888 number on the instruction manual, it is not a working number. So I sent Mcombo an email, to which they replied a
